The Festival Village for the 10th Festival of Pacific Arts is visibly coming together with the Samoan fales being constructed around the perimeter of the Samoana High School field and Utulei Beach Park.
Five fales are already completed on the school malae, and there will be a total of 27, one for each participating country in the festival. These fales will be where each country demonstrates their various art forms, such as weaving, carving, quilting, and much more.
The six fales which are being constructed on the beach park area will be for specific art forms, such as tattooing, culinary arts, and more.
The fale oo style structures around the Samoana malae are being built by various villages throughout the territory who have volunteered through the Office of Samoan Affairs. The larger fales on the beach park have been donated by districts and some of the larger villages on island.
