Another big day for the organizing committee of the festival of pacific arts, with donations continuing to pour in from the community.
This morning, the Samoana High School Class of 1977 made a donation of $1,000 to the committee to help with the hosting of festival participants. According to the 1977 class spokesperson, their class is spread all over the U.S. and American Samoa now, but they wanted to give something back to help the community with this major undertaking.

Another donation made today was from the Nuuuli village women, The wives of the high chiefs and orators got together to make a donation of 100 pillows and sheets, plus a check for $1,000 to help out with the festival.
Mrs. Akenese Taufetee Faumuina spoke on behalf of the faletua and tausi of Nuuuli.

And finally today, the American Samoa Nurses Association also made their donation toward the festival this afternoon.
At a brief presentation ceremony held at the LBJ Hospital, the nurses of the territory presented the committee with a check for $2,000.
